top 10 animes

Top 10 animes that i liked 1.Cowboy bebop This show has many great themes somehow masterfly put together. It's very hard to mix westerns, noir, and sci fi but this show did so well. The show masterfly does this by making the show take place in space and advanced technology meanwhile adding space cowboys to join the 2 genres. The show follows 2 guys named Jet and Spike along with a reluctant roommate Faye. The show usually follows them in conducting work as bounty hunters and sometimes giving stories of their past contributing to character development. 2.Monster This show follows the doctor Tenma. He accidentally saves a demon named Johan who loves destruction and massacre. Johan frames Tenma for murder and forces Tenma to exile himself. Meanwhile he gathers information on Johan to plan to kill him to prevent mass carnage in the world; he believes that this is the only way to prevent many deaths and as a doctor he is established quickly to value life. One of the best qualities of the show is that every episode does not directly continue from the last; all the episodes seem to follow a series of small details from multiple characters that lead to us understanding the main story. What I liked most about this series is how suspenseful the series was throughout every second of the episode. 3.Death note This show is about a murder mystery told in reverse. The story is not told from the detective side primarily. The series is told from the murderers perspective. Light Yagami is a high schooler who becomes drunk with power when he finds a magic power to kill immoral people in the world. The series follows him as he lives his life and fools detectives to prevent capture. I liked this series because of the perspective change on murder mystery. Traditionally in western media murder mysteries are told from detectives or the people who were negatively affected by the loss. However this series is told from the murderers perspective. This inherently makes a more suspenseful show because we as the viewer are curious to see if he gets caught. 4.Erased This series follows an aspiring manga artist and pizza delivery man Satoru Fuginuma. Satoru has a magic ability that allows him to have extreme foresight for problems that arise, it's almost like spidey sense but he sees visions for things that are going to happen. One day his powers go too far and he is transported back in time to his childhood. In the show he goes back in time and the present back and forth. Until he realizes that he needs to fix hidden grief from his past. Satoru’s school had many kidnappings and the adults rightfully hid that to prevent hysteria in the children. However as Satoru travels back he decides to find the kidnapper(I won't spoil the surprise, watch it for yourself). Overall this was a very suspenseful show. 5.Ajin Ajin has already been covered on this blog but I loved this show because the events of Sato and Kei were unpredictable. This creates high levels of suspense. 6.Afro samurai This is a story about swordsmen. All of the characters have headbands with numbers(in Kanji) that signify their rank 1 being the highest and undefeated. The rules are simple: when a swordsmen is killed the victor must take his head band as a symbol of his rank. The main character's father was killed and lost his number 1 headband. The son goes on a revenge spree to retrieve it. 7.Japan sinks 2020 This show was about a family who goes through a big life change. The children are transitioning to college and new schools and the entire island is becoming flooded because of a tsunami. The story follows the group as they try to survive the floods and mourn the loss of their loved ones along with adjusting to new life as teens and young adults. 8.Naruto Naruto is an infamous series. I mainly liked it because of moments of goofy humor and political complexity of the land in the series. 9.Blue exorcist This series is on the list because it set the bar to be comical early in the series. In this series a high ranking demon has twins (the main characters) who become exorcists. It's an intriguing premise of them both wanting to become a force to kill their father. 10. Fate unlimited blade works This series is about highschoolers that participate in a game to get a wish in life. They must fight with magic and a resurrected warrior from history. I liked it. It was a decent show. I hope you enjoyed the post and enjoy your day or night depending on your time zone.
